I got thru 80% of Thru Fire & the Flames on Medium yesterday. I was still strumming hard, but my left hand just gave up ("That's what she said!" c. Michael Scott).
Anyways, I came back to work after the weekend and, like usual, no cds or dvds were sorted or shelved. I am so tired of being the backbone of this department. They KNOW it takes two people to make the department work. After I left before they hired 2 people to replace me! Then my music buddy left and they never replaced him! I'm just going to work 1/2 as hard. fuck the
Also the bosses have me stuck all day, every day, at the front of the store (basically a Border's Greeter) and at the cash reg. When it's busy it's fine, but the downtime sucks balls. I need tasks and structure! Standing around, waiting for customers to appear is frickin' boring! I still enjoy the challenge of finding titles for people and recommending things. I turned a guy on to RA Salvatore the other day, which rocked! Another Drizzt Disciple! Despite this, I really want to start a career, but I'm not sure where to begin (I have the same problem with dating, but that's another post...). If you internet lurkers stumble upon any good jobs for hard working english freaks, let me know.
