The continuing Saga...
The results are this...she saw me again on Tuesday during 3rd period. Diedre (the one that helps me out) went in during 4th period to talk to her. She basically told her that it wasn't fair that I had to hear about how she REALLY felt me from the department and that the department head is a gossiping worthless wishy washy. Julia denied that she ever told my department head anything, but finally admitted and was horrified that I had heard about it. Well, maybe she shouldn't have said it then!
Diedre went on talk about how our department acts like a mob and tries to destroy anything including new teacher morale. Julia then told her that I was amazing and that she had never seen students interact and make connections like mine do. Julia then told my department head the same thing. Now they want me to give an inservice to teach the other teachers how I get the students to interact. Bah. No thanks because my department will treat me like crap (that's what they do to anyone who tries to give a presentation). Julia also said that there was a definite improvement from the last time she was there (except I am teaching the same exact way...she is an idiot)
i ran into Julia on Friday and she said that I shouldn't worry about things so much and that I did a great job. She is coming in to see me one more time next week...why? I dont' know, but whatever I am over it. I let this last week make me so nervous and on edge that I have been sick since Thursday. This whole thing happened the wednesday a week and a half ago...so that is why I haven't gotten back to you. But now I know that I am not going to be fired.
I am being moved to another room to "enhance" my experience...there are good and bad things
PROS
I can control the airconditioner with an actual gague and it always works. Old room didn't
Everything is NEW (including the desks)...unlike my previous room where the desks where actually from 1960
It is away from annoying teachers that throw balls at my door and come into my classroom to try and talk to me WHILE I am teaching.
I am right next to the copy lady.
The room doesn't echo.
I have 3 huge whiteboards AND I can actually post things on the wall (Old room was made out of bumpy concrete and could not withstand tape/let tacks into the wall)
CONS
The room is smaller....well it is a rectangle whereas the other room was a square. This means a different set up, which I don't know if I am going to like that.
It is far from the rest of the school.
I am next to Mr. I don't have a personality and I love GOD way too much (he finds me obnoxious...God and the guy).
