A few years ago, I was randomly watching a movie with Bruce Willis called The Kid. The movie centered around a personally cold man who is visited by his eight year old self. I don't remember much, but I do remember a scene where the eight year old tells the older him, "you don't even have a dog???"
My takeaway from this was what would the young me think of me? At the time, the young me would not have thought very highly of the me at the time.
But not today. Aww yeah, the eight year old would think the now me KICKS SO MUCH ASS. Past me? Would love now me. Would past you approve of now you?
