You know... there are a lot of people in the world who will gladly take the opportunity to have a day or two all to themselves with no one around and nothing to do.
I am not one of those people. A few hours, sure. I'll take a few hours. A few days? No thanks.
Kate is spending the weekend in Wausau with her boyfriend, and Lyndsay had to go home because her mom's aunt died. So I'm roommate-less yet again. Then both my cousin Katie and my friend Katie are back at home for some reason or other, Nicole is in Winona visiting her boyfriend, Sarah is out of the country for a few more months, and Amy is hung over and not up for moving any further from her couch than she must. And since I'm anti-social, I don't really know anybody that lives on this floor, and also don't feel like just knocking on random doors to introduce myself. That's a little too desperate. And while I probably am about that desperate for any kind of human interaction, I'm just not going to.
Wednesday night I took Amy and Corey to Culver's. It was sad without Sarah.
Thursday night I picked up Nicole and we went shopping (I didn't buy anything, which is amazing) and to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. When her and I are together, there's never a lull in conversation. We're practically interrupting each other to make points, and we pretty much agree on everything, so it's awesome. We made plans that sometime next week I'm going over to her apartment and we're gonna bake a cake and watch The Notebook, because it's completely girly and amazing, and who doesn't love cake?
I spent like 10 hours with Amanda yesterday, and she mentioned something about doing stuff with some of her friends from last year today. We had lunch together then walked back to her apartment where we played Guitar Hero with Bryan, Brian, and Brian's girlfriend Rachel. I suck, but supposedly did well considering I'd never played before. Lies, I'm sure. Nice ones though. First video game I've played on a system more advanced than Super Nintendo in probably years. Then we went shopping so I could buy Almost Famous, and I ended up getting the new Butch Walker album. Followed by dinner at Baker's Square because they have amazing corn bread. Then we watched some movies, and that was that. I've had one conversation with someone not over the phone which was with some girl who's name I don't know because she saw me reading Running With Scissors as she was walking past and is reading it too.
Mom is coming to visit tomorrow. Which means free lunch at a decent restaurant and whatever else I can convince her to buy me. Probably not much more than groceries. Oh well. It'll be nice.
I'm gonna go back to being bored now. Meh.
