i am: in a bit of a rush but ...
listening to: a million thoughts vying for attention
drinking: iced tea
busy, busy, but a friend just sent me an e-mail talking about two job offers he'd received and ended by saying he's got his mo-jo, and it stirred this up out of the gray matter:
i remember having a conversation with my boss when i worked as a buyer for a music store, in which i made the offhand remark that mr. mojo risin' is an anagram of jim morrison. he gave me an odd look and said, "uh uh," so i wrote "mr mojo risin" on the top of a box of 8-tracks i was pricing and started crossing out the letters and saying them aloud at the same time: J I M , etc. when i finished crossing and spelling them all out he replied, omg! oh man, that's so cool! what did you say that was? an analogy?
i've been deep in the throes of copying and pasting content into my new site design - when i haven't been at the dentist (i hate the dentist, but now i'm beginning to resent the dentist too because there are many, many other things i'd rather do with my money) so i have nothing exciting to report. (do i ever?) (don't answer that.)
i do have a few fractals i haven't posted here that i keep meaning to upload to my scrapbook thingy; i'll get to that soon, but they will (graciously) appear behind a cut.
that's all. work calls.
today's reading: since last updating i finished nineteen minutes by jodi picoult, read broken prey by john sandford, and am now about halfway through what came before he shot her by elizabeth george.
