oh-oh, it's magic

i am: taking a break
listening to: a dove cooing and windchimes outside my window
drinking: yorkshire tea

just a quick thanks for all the recent reading recommendations. i was partially successful in my barnes & noble excursion on sunday .

unfortunately many of the books you guys suggested just weren't on the shelf, so i'll be making a visit to amazon.com later as well (this is not unfortuate by any means, except for where my CC is concerned.)

anyway, here's what i ended up with from barnes & noble:

the lovely bones alice sebold
clouds of witness dorothy l. sayers
my sister's keeper jodi picoult
the forest edward rutherfurd
a dirty job christopher moore

that should keep me busy for awhile, or a few weeks at least. still on my "want" list, which will have to be satisifed at amazon.com:

the crying of lot 49 thomas pynchon
shadowy horses susanna kearsley
song of troy colleen mccullough

hurrah for books!

today's reading: i'm flying through (about halfway through) the lovely bones by alice sebold; it's the perfect page-turner i needed to break out of the robin hobb loop.
