Royal Wedding & A lot of cider later..

So, as many of you are aware (whether you're in the UK or not), Westminster Abbey held the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on Saturday. To say the public turn out was large was an understatement. It actually overwhelmed me, the amount of people who showed up to show their support for the couple. Although I'm not particularly interested in the Monarchy (like most of the youths of Britian), it was nice to see the country come together for an historical event. Despite the amount of opposition to having another Bank Holiday in honour of the wedding, there seemed to be a cheery atmosphere surrounding everyone that day.

I arrived at Alice's house about 10.30AM with Caz and Lizzie to start the Royal Wedding drinking game. Caz made punch and by 11.30AM we were rather merry and salivating over Kate Middleton's dress. (Designed by Sarah Burton, Alexander McQueen Design). Most of the time the limelight was stolen from William by Harry, who in most people's opinion is the better looking brother now that William's had an unfortunate case of hair loss. It's actually a bit scarey. Harry's been away in the army and is definitely looking less scrawny than he used to. There's something about him, a twinkle in his eye and he's definitely a bit of a bad boy. A bad boy in conservative view, anyway.

After a large amount of punch it was then off to the funfair, for which I have massive bruises up my leg from an AWFUL ride that I went on. I also broke my dinosaur necklace and was rather upset about it. It's my Power Ranger necklace =[.

The rest of the weekend saw a LOT of cider, a lot of sex and a lot of lounging around not doing very much. It was nice despite a few 'Sirius moments' when I had a horrible freakout about commitment and feelings. Why is there so much pressure to be part of a conventional relationship?

I don't wish to elaborate anymore on that matter SO, it's time for a rec! 8D

You Think You Know A Guy.. by ~BakaFaerie - This is a one shot written from Remus' POV, it's post-WW1 and is sort of a reflection of his relationship with Sirius, Lily, James and Peter. It's exceptionally touching, if you like the angst of Halloween '81. It's quite busy, but well worth a read.

I have nine days left at my current job with no prospects for future work. It's safe to say that I am panicing. I'm trying not to become overwhlemed by the looming depression of being unemployed and penniless. I don't want to be dependent on my mother or the government. I want to earn my own bloody money and do what I want with it. I hope something comes up soon otherwise my LJ will become quite mundane.

Starving. An hour to go til' lunch and I need to get my eyebrows done. Badly.

I leave you with this: -
