macy's is bad
if you want to do me one big fat favor - please do not spend a penny at macy's. they falsely advertise and waste time.
they are advertising their labor day sales on tv like mad (company is going down the drain and i understand why... they suck big time). they're advertising mattress sales as well, stating that if you purchase a mattress using your macy's card you get 12 months interest free.
we've been needing a new mattress and don't have a box spring so it seemed like as good a time as any. we got to the store at noon yesterday and left at 1:20 without being able to purchase a mattress because the only douchebag in the store that can sell one was very very late. the manager was nice and very flustrated by the whole thing, but ultimately unable to do anything. brian called the mattress department at 1:30 and no one answered... we could have waited there all day! how hard is it to get to work at noon?
i went back today and there was somebody who could help me. apparently there is a $1000 minimum to get the 12 month financing which even THE ASSOCIATE DIDN'T KNOW. plus they can't deliver the dang thing for 15 days.
i called customer service who told me it's a $1500 minimum (lies). they, ultimately, would not help me and i wasted more time (18 minutes) on the phone with them.
i'm letting it go now and won't waste even more time by being upset, but macy's has been added to my shit list along with verizon (sorry DS). they won't get me again.
