To take a page from Jimmy's book, here's ome particularly random thoughts swimming about in my mind. Enjoy them for what they are.
- "Caught Up" by Usher is my latest guilty pleasure in music. I'm typically apathetic about Urshur's songs, but this one is disturbingly infectious. And everytime it shows up at random on my iPod shuffle, I smile.
- Jesus Christ, I need to start my Latin research paper. 5 pages, three sources, by Wednesday. My responsible side whines, "Get your ass in line!" but then again, TV is so berry good. I end up watching one of those silly VH1 specials, and feel dirty afterwards. I chose Mo Rocca over Virgil? What kind of overachiever am I?
- Everyone says Clint Eastwood will win Best Director at the Oscars. I predicted Martin Scorsese, whom many assorted critics (and dumb e-mailers) figure is in for another denial. Eastwood may well win, but fuck, I want Marty. Ah well, as long as he doesn't win Best Actor.
- Rendleman's bringing a deep fryer to Kairos. Sah-weet.
- Kanye West's performance at the Grammy's last night kicked righteous ass. "Jesus Walks" is such a great song, way better than any of YOUR songs.
- I wish I had money (hey Jimmy) so that I could buy "Spring Summer Fall Winter...and Spring." I miss that movie.
- It's Valentine's Day. Once again, I am loveless, but contently so, and disregarded romance for a day of much candy-guzzling. Those little candy hearts didn't know what hit them. I don't even read the cheesy messages anymore - fuck your lovey-dovey quips, I need sugar.
- Perhaps I need more sleep. That would explain my relative irritability over the past few days. Or maybe everyone around me is just a jerk.
- You know who I really like? Ian. Ian is awesome. And Chrissy Vo. They're the most underappreciated comedians in our class - classes with them prove hilarious day after day.
And hey! I celebrated my birthday tonight, since I will be at Kairos on my actual birthday (this Friday, the 18th). Happy 18th birthday to me! Let's go buy cigarettes and die in Iraq! It's on me!
Anyway, g'night my angels.
Holla.
- Jack
