Its been a lovely couple of days.
Jules didn't have to work yesterday so he accompanied me to the city, I had a good class at school then we met up again and went on a date. A nerdy one! Science world, whoa body world is worth the admission cost, we were blown away, it's incredible, our bodies are amazing! Strolling through body parts getting an incredible sneak peek at whats to come for me starting very soon in my anatomy & physiology course. After the tour we played in the general area, especially enjoying the kids zone. Then off through the dark city streets on an epic sushi hunt! It was very very good, Samurai sushi on Davie! Yuuummmm, we talked about the garden and I got excited about the different varieties and colors of carrots I want to grow (I did mention I was a nerd right).
Then home, we finally started talking wedding stuff, and I think we're set on having the reception in our yard, which makes us both pleased for many reasons. Me getting to decorate in advance, Dave having the motivation to clean the yard up, also Dave saving $ on renting somewhere or needing a liquor license of any sort. Also both our rings have been shipped, I shall be checking the mail incessantly now!
I have had rose hips on my mind for the past week and today was dry so I headed down to the river for a nice long walk, alone. I was intent on picking up leaves and feeling inspired to make ink prints with them when I looked up only to find wild rose bushes, bowing over with heavy red hips. Yay, I picked them into my skirt and got many leaves down my jacket but I came home with a good haul, also on the drive home I spotted another bush and got even more, and of better quality. So now the house it warming and has the comforting sound of my dehydrator working away in the corner of the kitchen.
Sigh, it's fall and I love it.
