Buy local and support Portland's emerging metals artists.

For one day only, the Oregon College of Art & Craft Metals Department offers the community a chance to buy affordable, limited edition original jewelry. The amazing pieces and prices will only be available to the public on Sunday, September 24 from 10am to 4pm.

For under $25, innovative creations including stamped neighborhood ID bracelets, sterling silver earrings and bangles, acrylic jewelry, delicate etched brooches, forged steel rings, and fantastic wearable art will be for sale. Half of the money raised will go to the individual student artists, while the other half will fund a visiting artist workshop and a public lecture.

Rebecca Scheer, OCAC instructor and organizer of the event, states, "because we want to keep the price points down, students had to be very creative in their design, use of materials, and manufacturing processes. The result is a diverse and imaginative selection of original works of wearable art."

The sale, held on the College's Hoffman Gallery patio at 8245 SW Barnes Road in Portland, offers food, beverages and the popular Hands On Cafe Sunday Brunch. Directions to the College are available online at www.ocac.edu or call 503-297-5544.
