Kristen's Totally Decent Day!
Mamma Shayna's coming to visit for the weekend and I am wicked excited. I'm making a huge Indian feast, because I'm a cold New Englander who is uncomfortable with her emotions and must express love through cooking more food than can be reasonably eaten. Last night I made Rasmalai and some Paneer (fun with curds!) although the chenna for the rasmalai is overcooked. I wish I had just remade it once I figured out what I was supposed to be doing with it. It tastes good, anyway...but the curds are a bit too small and it makes the dumplings kind of gritty.
Tonight we're getting retro'd out and going to the Carlyle Club for some live music and a fancy dinner, and we're hoping that the cherry blossoms wil be out this weekend like the National Park Service says.
And oh! We got tickets to see the Kids in the Hall!!! 12th row orchestra, and I'm very pleased.
Now I've just gotta fly under the radar for the rest of the day, and then hello, long weekend!
