10 "Hottest" Animated Male Characters
Hi guys!
This may seem like a bit of an unusual post, but I saw this video by Nostalgia Chick, in which she asked people online what they believed to be the "hottest" male animated character from 1992-2002 (as she is Nostalgia Chick, so anything recent doesn't fit with that). The quotations around the hottest are because they are purely opinion of many people and they may not be conventionally hot. Yeah. Women I believe are more attracted to personalities and of course have looks somewhere blended into that mix.
I figure I should do a list, to get my head wrapped around my fictional crushes (who are animated of course and NOT INCLUDING VIDEO GAMES; beyond that I have so much more~) Also I'm doing this for all animated characters, regardless of how long ago their movie came out, and the characters must be from animated movies or animated tv series (yes, including anime). No vague interpretations of animated (video games anyone?) or anything like that. Also this is all my own opinion, so it's by no means carved in stone.
It would also be nice to know some of your hottest male animated characters. There will be a POLL at the bottom, so heads up for that! Also there are a lot of good female ones but I'll talk about that later.
10) Kurama
Okay this guy was one of my childhood crushes that I while I moved away from, will always occupy a special place in my heart. I think that when I was young watching Yu Yu Hakusho, it was only natural that I'd like Kurama. He is a bishounen, and a highly attractive one at that. His personality is a little more forgiving and human than Hiei's and he retains an air of sophistication and nonchalance, which is always cool and attractive. I love the fact that he does have this demon inside of him, but that all gets resolved because of the strength of his character.
9) Jushiro Ukitake
Jushiro Ukitake probably shows a bit of the range of guys I find attractive. He does have a disease that causes him to cough up blood like every hour (probably TB) and he is a bit frail, but his personality is so endearing. His sense of justice is frankly really adorable and he has a lot of idiosyncratic mannerisms that are terribly amusing. Also when hes fighting he's a badass so it's all good. Also his hair is so pretty. Look at it. Really. Take a good long look at it and try to deny the fluffiness and awesomeness of it.
8) Gaara
I realize that I'm not that into Naruto that much anymore, but boy do I still find Gaara cute! I think that he is awesome, and I think that it was cool that he was initially introduced as a villain but then slowly became Naruto's friend, and the respect that both of them have for each other is so nice. I think that he's a straight badass and his powers are very cool. I look forward to seeing him in the future in the manga!
7) Kaoru Hitachiin
Ouran High School Host Club was the anime of my middle school years. I had a couple good friends who watched it as well, and we all liked a different guy (Ha!). For me, I really liked Kaoru because not only was he mischievous and a bishounen, but he was also less hot headed than his brother and more insightful. He also can think of the big picture, when he gracefully stepped down from pursuing Haruhi because he loved his brother more. D'aww.
6) Death the Kid
I know most people are turned off by his personality, but personally, I find it just plain amusing. I like how he derps a lot (oh god that test episode. I think I died) but then when he gets serious when fighting he turns really badass and pro. Besides that, I love his character design. HE FIGHTS IN A FUCKING SUIT~~ Also he has dark hair, cool eyes, a nice face and body and nice weapons.
5) Jim Hawkins
Jim Hawkins might be a troubled teenager who is borderline whiny at times but by the end of Treasure Planet his personality has grown to match his looks. I think in those scenes where he is piloting his solar surfboard thingy are super cool and amazing. Also I love how he turns from the angsty child to a mature adult in the end, and also he is voiced by no one other than JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT!
4) Howl
Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favorite films, and I think it's due to the interesting, suave yet flawed version of Howl Miyazaki has chosen to portray. Howl, I think, is much more likeable in the movie than in the book by Wynne Jones, and his voice in both English and Japanese is absolutely amazing. He has bishounen good looks, but also with the body to go with it. I like both of his hair colors throughout the movie, but since I gravitate to dark hair, I am smitten with black haired Howl.
3) Lavi Bookman
I got into D.Gray-man in the first couple years of high school, and I still love it, even though it goes on hiatus every single year for months on end (-__-;;). I like all the characters, except Kanda, who is a douche in my opinion, but my favorite and who I think is the hottest is Lavi. Lavi is a hot anime character who actually looks like a boy so that already brings him up the list. While I think bishounen are pretty and all, Lavi is a real boy who has a built but slender body, which is my type. He is a good combination of mischievous and deep, with a very dark part of himself being the successor to Bookman, and as a result forced to cut all ties to the ones he loves in the future.
2) Yoichi Hiruma
Somehow, I am irrationally attracted to Hiruma from Eyeshield 21. He looks like a devil, acts like one and is all around pretty frightening to the other characters. In addition in the anime he doesn't look that good, as the way he is animated makes him look terribly spidery. However, I still find him really, really, really attractive because of his personality and quips. I like a snarky, sarcastic and amusing man, and Hiruma really fits that bill. Besides, his body is to die for and his facial features are, well, let's just say incredibly sharp. (This is probably me attempting to justify my attraction okay)

HOW EXCITING~1) Dean Mccoppin
Unlike many of the other male characters that females find attractive, Dean is not a bad boy or evil or troubled. He is however, really fucking cool. Besides looks, Dean is a slick as oil beatnik artist, who goes to the beat of his own drummer. He is pretty sarcastic and snarky, and delivers some pretty good one liners. But at heart, Dean is a creative soul with good morals, and he believes in what's right and sees it through. Also his fashion sense is just wow. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit son. So coordinated and all in black. He looks so chique and put together, as if effortlessly. I want all his clothing, seriously. And Dean is a mature guy who looks like a guy (yes) and has a great build, neither crazy fit nor fat. He resides in a happy place called toned. So overall, he is the male animated character I find THE MOST attractive out of all in the land. Huzzah!
