It's been awhile, but I got a nudge and it made me feel all speshul.

Good grief what all has happened...

I went to visit mortimer_ford a while back and had an awesome time in Asheville. If I weren't so opposed to staying in the south after college, Asheville would be a cool town to be in for a while

the first one was for a contest called "that's not tarot" (unexpected tarot cards). we didn't actually enter the contests, she just had us go pick a contest prompt we liked and create something according to the guidelines for class.




the next one I'm working on is a lot harder...

i chose the "plantimals" contest (an animal morphed with a plant) and i'm turning polly into an orchid. i'm nowhere near finished - the face looks pasted on here, so i have to go back in and I'll use the pistil of the orchid as the shape, maybe just with her eyes and nose? no idea yet, but anyway, this is the progress thus far-




it's frustrating, shes a shitty teacher, so i feel like that class has all been trial and error and lessons from almightly google. i ripped her apart on her evaluation this week and I know i'm not the only one. it's been a bit of a drama, enough of a pain that we went to the dept head about it, so hopefully she wont be teaching photoshop again next year, or she'll at least have some sort of curriculum she adheres to with it.
