its never pleasant hearing what needs to be fixed on your car. especially when they find things wrong with things you didnt even ask them to look at. anyhow the first round of estimates was horrible. $2000 to fix the brakes, radiator, and something with the axle (a joint). well they said the brakes alone would be $900 and i just couldnt accept that. now this was what they said needed to be done immediately. well this prompted a second opinion so we took the car to a more well known chain and guess what? only $600 for the brakes and radiator combined and the joint thing didnt need to be done immediately. well fuck you mr. first estimate, auto place #2 is currently fixing my car. this is why i dont trust a lot of auto shops.
bekky and the boys are leaving on the 2nd for vacation so i am left to my own devices. will be boring just going to work and lounging at home. i do believe there will be a "honey do" list for me as usual though. maybe i can wipe it out the first day until waiting till the last minute as im known to do. anyhow, the 7th is the only day i have activities planned since that is when my bday will celebrated (bday is on the 13th but the 7th is a better for scheduling). i requested off from blockbuster and close the next night so i will have time to recover. well at least i hope so. if anyone is interested in attending and doesnt have a problem with just drinking, eating grilled meat, and hanging out with a diverse bunch then your welcome to attend. email me so i know to expect ya and give directions and work out parking arrangements since guest parking is spread out all over. i do hope to see some old familiar faces.
rodney has been hearing much better since the we got the hearing aide. he is very happy with it since he got to pick out the color (red, like his favorite power ranger). in 2-3 more years when he is more mature to handle it we will have the 3rd surgery to have the prosthetic ear bone put back in place. its still resting up against the eardrum and the ENT assures us its a safe place for it to be. i was alarmed it might poke through but since its so small he said there is no risk. hell, i didnt even know the made prosthetics that small. i had originally asked the doctor if we have to replace it as he grows but i was informed when born a babies middle ear bone is pretty much already fully developed so that wont be an issue.
tam continues to be a powerhouse to be reckoned with. fast growth and a mountain of energy. considering the 4 year difference in age tam is only like 8lbs. lighter than rodney and only 6-8 inches shorter. i cant remember exactly. thats what moms are for. i am for play and sometimes discipline. mostly play. rodney seems to be having problems with tam beating up on him. despite telling him to beat right back he is afraid of hurting tam. i assure him that wont happen because tam seems to be made of granite so we are in the process of building him up for rougher play. i just hope tam's growth slows down enough. ill get some pics posted soon i hope. as for now you can see a few at www.geocities.com/gotmalk (and no thats not me with the eye patch, robin!!!!!). everything else is right on track with him.
bekky is almost done with her CDA stuff and then another class or two and think she will have another associates. this will definitely open many more doors for her. especially since the school may only be open for one more year. they will have to see where they stand next summer and see what will be the best course of action. its a good school for the boys right now and id hate to see it go. granted rodney will start public school for first grade but we would like to keep tam in until he reaches that point as well. gonna have to wait and see on this one. i on the other hand am stuck with the 2 job business for who knows how long. hopefully this little business venture coming up in the next couple months does take off and end this nightmare. i keep high hopes but damn im tired a lot. 70-80 work weeks arent are not my idea of fun. especially since it cuts back on family time. i still keep my eye out for other jobs but hell if im gonna take another sales oriented job. after harte-hanks and harris publishing i have a very bitter taste in my mouth for sales. i hope they get a shit load of FCC fines dropped on their asses.
if anyone has any spare computer parts, mainly motherboards and various drives, they want to get rid of or sell really cheap please let me know. my system has been down for so long its depressing. i got bekky an rodney set up with their own but now im lacking. plus im tired of looking at hugh jackman and orlando bloom wallpaper
