Still trying to come to terms with the fact that the long weekend is over.
Thanksgiving was low-key. Was supposed to drive to Ottawa, but very non-interesting complications ensured that my visit to the family in Ottawa got put off to another weekend later this month. So, I got to relax and putter. Jack drove up to Orillia to see his mom on Sunday - so on one of the days I had the house to myself.
I am loving
Mad Men. The clothes, the dialogue, the storylines - they are all fantastic. Anyone who is not watching it is truly missing out.
I managed to get out of the office at a good hour yesterday evening to go vote. I live in Jack Layton's riding, so an NDP victory was all but assured here, but I nonetheless voted Liberal because I still blame Layton for the fact that that psychopath Harper can put the words "Prime Minister" in front of his name. Besides, the Tories came fourth in my riding, so there wasn't much strategic voting to be done.
I am very proud to live in Toronto this morning. Other parts of the country might be nuts, but not one single Tory seat in my adopted hometown.
