A Taste for Class

Rita Skeeter, Senior Correspondent

It seems that Ron Weasley has moved seamlessly from one celebrity boyfriend to another.  Just over a month after leaving Britain’s own hero, Harry Potter, Weasley was seen making out with Victor Krum, captain of the Bulgarian Quidditch team, at the high end Goroubylansko Hanche in Sofia, Bulgaria.

“They looked like they knew each other pretty well,” said Lizzie Thompson, former beater on the Bulgarian Quidditch team.  “Well enough that Weasley was doing something under the table for at least five minutes while Krum sat there with his face getting all pink.  They were all over each other, right? Touching and laughing, and on a game night. And drinking!”

It would appear that this is not a one-time occurrence.  The Prophet has located witnesses in various pubs and hotels in Sofia who speak of seeing the two together.  When taken in total, the sightings of the couple span several months, before the breakup of Weasley and our Harry.  Could it be, dear readers, that it was not Harry’s own troubles but Weasley’s infidelity that broke them up?

One must wonder how Weasley has managed to ensnare not one, but two national heroes in respective countries.  He is, by all accounts, not particularly intelligent or good-looking.  His family does not have the funding to provide him with a supply of love philter, nor does his position as an auror allow for such extravagance.  And certainly one must question the morals of one who would split with our dear Harry rather than stand beside him as he makes his recovery from torture at the hands of followers of He-Who-Was-Not-Named.  It seems, dear readers, that Weasley has nothing to recommend him, especially not to someone such as Krum, whose performance in the last World Cup is still vividly remembered.

We must all rally around our Harry, dear readers, and support him in what must be a trying time.  All the same, this humble correspondent is certain that this will all be for the best.  Surely Harry is better off without the likes of Weasley and is now free to find someone more suitable.  As for Krum, well, let him proceed at his own risk.  And let the people of Bulgaria look to their own hero.
