Jeff Martin @ Moose and GOose
When the Tea Party split I was sad.
one of my fave bands... love em.
but jeff martin has continued out on his own to do his own thing and last night,a t the last minute, i went to check out the concert at Moose and Goose in THorold
i love club shows. the sound is always pumping and great
i was pretty impressed.
he did a lot of stuff on exile in the kingdom (his new album)
with some old tp tunes thrown in (messenger, sister awake - which i effin love that song, and turn the lamp down low)
he did some acoustics and it was great
he also did some Whole Lotta Love cover action - time for fact- his drummer used to do backup for page&plant (he met him when they opened for page and plant years ago in montreal)
anyways, im sad about tp, but i have to say I enjoyed this show just as much.
his lyrics and the different, irregular (the sounds of sguff like the tabla, djun-djun, mandolin, etc.), sounds to the music are what make him amazing.
it was a last minute decision and im glad i went after work (even if it was by myself and i felt like a loser lol)
