More triathlon...Zuri Triathlon 2007. An improvement on last year, but I failed to get under the hour, which was the "stretch goal" set by the missus (AKA "Official Drunken Roadie" after her Friday night). And I don't even have life insurance...

Interesting physiological point...

As a man, it is incredibly difficult after surfing for 2 hours in 6 degree water to drain the gizzard, even though you're bursting for it, due to significant curtailment of the delivery vehicle. Although the primary effect is presumably not evidenced, do women suffer the same secondary effect?

It can be. I think it's something to do with blood being withdrawn to the heart and brain area affecting the nervous impulses. The way your fingers go numb and useless.
