Music Brings Hope...
It truly does. I was not an integral part of the program, but I did go to the benefit concert to see the Bogalusa students and help them. I could completely see the emotions of happiness and awe on the Bogalusa students' faces as they sang and at the dance as well. Even an outside observer can see that music really does bring hope and that it truly is the universal language. My favorite part of the concert was when all the choirs flooded the stage and sang the piece that Mrs. Evans wrote. I was just floored. An incredible wall of sound came at me with emotion dangling from every word and note. I went to the dance afterwards and had a good time. I got to meet some of the Bogalusa students personally. They were awesome and really friendly.
As far as this week goes, I am crazy busy. AP Tests on Wednesy and Friday. Lifeguarding in-services on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. I am just thankful that the year is coming to a close; I just want summer to get here. It may seem ridiculous to wish away the rest of my junior year, but I have almost had it with some of my classes. Since the end of the semester is coming, I have an ungodly amount of work. Once the AP tests are done though, I am hoping things will cool down.
