Well folks, one year ago today was the day that I ended up in LA. I remember it like it was yesterday... How scared I was, how excited I was. My word, all those feelings come rushing back to me like a flood. I remember it all...
May 10th - Cedar Point ~ Met Danielle and Matt to have a great day! It was a blast! We had so much fun. It was a hard day though. I left Michigan and didn't look back.
May 11th - Chicago ~ We had fun in Chicago, but I think Sara and I did the wrong things in Chicago, they had GREAT Greek food though, lol
May 12th - World's Larges Ball of Baler Twine ~ It was so funny. The world famous "Corner" Bait and Tackle, Bar and Grille. It was too funny
May 13th - Denver, CO ~ AMAZING CITY!! I loved Denver. Hammond's Candies, 16th St. Marketplace, Molly Brown's Historical Museum. Plus BEAUTIFUL Denver!!!
May 14th - Four Corners Monument and The Grand Canyon ~ Absolutely Beautiful. I LOVED the four corners "Sara! It's so BEAUTIFUL! I've ALWAY... BIKERS!!!" lmao
May 15th - Las Vegas, NV ~ "Hello TITS! I've MISSED you!" All I have to say!! lmao It was the first time I'd been there! What a place!
May 16th - Relaxation Day ~ Decided to take it easy and make a nice driving day!
May 17th - Sea World, San Diego ~ HAPPY 24th!! We had a BLAST!! I LOVE Sea World! Sara got to swim with the Dolphins. It was GREAT!
May 18th - Disneyland ~ It was Sara's first time in Disney. We had so much fun! "Now you see it, Now you DON'T!"
May 19th - Six Flags Magic Mountain ~ First time I had been there. I had always wanted to go there, it was a great first time! X was everthing I hoped it would be, LOL!!
May 20th - Hollywood ~ Did the tourist thing. Hard day because it was the last day I had with Sara. We got a hotel room near the airport.
May 21st - Good Bye ~ Sara gets on the plane to go back to MI. I cried my eyes out. I thought I was going to die. That was the day my life in LA started.
I thought I was gonna die. I wanted to crawl into a corner and die. I went to stay with Jason for 2 days, then I stayed with Chris. The first two weeks killed me because I had NO place to call my own. I felt homeless and vulnerable. But I got through it and made the most of it until I found my apartment. Now it's been a year since I've been here.
~ The first year of Operation LA ~
June 9th - Moved into my apartment in Santa Monica! How COOL is that. I wanted to shout from the roof tops that I lived in Santa Monica, CA!! I live in CALIFORNIA!! It was amazing once I got my apartment. I IMMEDIATELY submitted my resume into Kelly Scientific Resources. About 2 weeks later I interviewed with the recruiter. We sent my resume to 4 different places. I got an interview with a cosmetics manufacturing company called Cosmetic Enterprises. Then 8 months later, after I found out what that company actually stood for, I got an interview with this place called Sonya Dakar. I got that job in the period of 1 week! I couldn't believe it either.
From moving here 1 year ago, I've gone from Old Navy Sales Associate to Quality Assurance Manager at a Spa Line Private Label. QUITE a change! Insane, huh?
I can't believe it either! I only hope that the next year will be as amazing as this one!!
