Yes, the game of hockey is competitive. But if people are not going to get ice time, they should not have been given the opportunity to make the team. Practice is what makes perfect, and if girls were given the opportunity to make the team, they should deserve the opportunity to play, and improve. If girls do not return next year, it is their choice. As far as I'm concerned, they are making the right decision. No one needs to be manipulated, or told they will be part of the hockey family and then turn around and get burned. After all, it is just a game. The game of hockey should be fun, and spell out the word team for me. What do you think it means? I always thought it was a group coming together to reach a goal. That is not what I would call a team.

Only perfect practice makes perfect. Make the effort and you'll get somewhere, or don't and don't expect to see game time.

so now you are saying those who did not get playing time were not trying?

Would that go for you too?

Don't insult the efforts of the teammates you care so much about.

Nobody painted you with the same brush as anyone, so don't try to create that trojan horse. Your responses have been quite civil.

And I am sure a new coach will have all of the energy or more then Bill Fox had. THis is not the first time a team has changed coaches. Check out the Pistons last year. Looks like things worked out pretty well there. You give Bill Fox too much credit for the success of this team. Look within to yourselves and your teammates. GIve yourself some credit!

Sounds like a lot of people are giving you some good advice.

This isn't the Pistons. Our team doesn't have the kind of resources to find a replacement coach. Lets be realistic here.

I put in the effort, I got ice time. This isn't about me.

If you want to talk about who didn't get enough ice time that deserved it, I'd be more than happy to, but here wouldn't be appropriate. If you feel so passionatly about it you can email me at rockysilverlight@aol.com

It seems like a few people are opposed the things I've expressed, adults and players alike though anyone has yet to step forward and reveal themselves. I think that on neither side of this arguement is going to change their opinion. We can keep it going or we can stop. It really doesn't make a difference either way.

Exactly it doesnt make a diffrence. And either does complaining about what has happened. Whats done is done. And the school board is NOT going to reverse its decision. So instead of making enemies try to keep your friendships and try to make your hockey memories stay as wonderful as you remember.

I don't need to 'try' to keep my friendships, and I'm not making any enemies. The people who started this shitstorm are the ones making enemies. Myself and the group of people with me are not complaining. Like I said before, this isn't nearly over.

It isn't the Red Wings either and yet you chose to make that comparison earlier.
