From One B.Town to Another
Last Wednesday I left just after 5am for Boston, Massachusetts: The Spirit of America. I slept for about half of the ride. We went though New York state down to MA. We stopped off in Natick, MA at Natick Mall and I did some shopping at Hollister and Pac Sun. Holister is so nice, it's like shpping in a beach house. I love it. We got to Boston around 5-5pm, after all of our stops along the way. We drove right thru downtown and then went to our hotel, which was in Saguay, just outside of Revere, which was just outside of Boston. We took the hotel shuttle to Logan Airport, to get on the subway to go downtown cause driving and parking downtown is terrible. We walked around City Hall and Faneuil Square and ate dinner at the replica of the Cheers bar.
The next day, Thursday, we left our hotel and drove to Burlington, MA just outide of Boston and checked into a different hotel. Then we went downtown again. We went to Filene's dept store where me and Ilissa got tickets for the Warped Tour 10th Anniversary show. Then we took a sightseeing trolly car around downtown. We saw all sorts of landmarks, churches, buildings, parks, statues ect.. We walked up and down Beacon Street and went to the Bull and Finch Pub, the original Cheers bar. We passed by Newbury Street, full of shops, on the trolley but didn't get off to shop. Next time I'm hitting up Newbury for sure. We went to the little Italy section downtown and ate dinner, visited a firehall, Paul Revere's house, a statue of him and a few graveyards. We went back to the downtown crossing to get back on the subway to go back to the hotel. Then we went to Burlington Mall, whihc had PacSun and Abercrombie. After we went swimming at the hotel.
On Friday we went out fro breakfast and went to Gillette Stadium for the Warped Tour, which was held in the parking lot, which was kinda weird but cool. We watched Andrew W.K. (that was insane), Finch, Midtown, New Found Glory (so good), H20, MxPx, Rancid, Good Charlotte, Big Wig, Less Than Jake and Something Corporate (also very good). There weren't too many other bands that we didn't wacth other than some of the side stage bands like Talib Kweli. We talked to R2K from Finch and Scott from Allister for a lil too. After Warped went back to our hotel and packed.
Saturday morning we ate in some small town and then headed home cause it was raining all over. On our way home we stopped in Rome, MA and asked the toll both guy if there was anything to see in Rome and he said he's lived there for almost his whole life and there ain't nothing to see so we scrapped that idea and got back on the turnpike. We stopped in Niagra Falls for dinner, which looks just like Hollywood Ave in Cali. Oh yeah and I saw Sam and Sid in Niagara too, how random is that?
Sunday I missed the Four Star sale, and I more importantly I missed seeing Kathleen before she left for Ottawa. I was at my grandpa's birthday party. Later that night me, Sarah and Ilissa went to see Joanna and company. We went out for slurpees with Joel.
Yesterday I woke up really early cause I though I worked at 10am but I didn't work until 1. After work I watched Harold and Kumar at Sarah's. It's a funny movie.
I haven't really done anything at all today other than sit at my computer.
