(no subject)
so, February is coming to an end, thus so is my beard. we've had a good run together, but it's time for it to go. it's starting to collect water now. hell, I even had a party for my beard and beards alike. February was a pretty good month. Valentine's Day and Brittany and I's one year anniversary, job at the Exponent, etc. I'm looking forward to March, though. I just got over the flu, and just to let you all know, it sucked. it was the first time I've been sick in good knows how long and it wasn't as cool as I remembered. fever, head and body aches, complete discomfort. fuck that noise. but I would like to thank my roommate for giving me a chance to experience it again, at least I think. I won't point any fingers just yet. in about a week, Brittany and I are going to Florida for spring break. it's going to be great to get away from this cold. we are staying with my grandma in Lake Butler. we already bought our Disney Land tickets and we have enough beer and food to last our trip. we are driving, and we are staying in a motel/hotel mid drive. we're leaving Saturday, staying somewhere on the road that night, and then arriving Sunday afternoon or evening. I can't wait! we basically have everything we need, just a few lose ends I am getting from home. I'm going home Sunday. only two exams are in the way of vacation. I guess I haven't really been home in a long time. it doesn't feel like it, though. with Andrei making the weekend trips to West Lafayette to party with us, it feels like Elwood is around more often than not. he says he's coming tomorrow for my friend Morgan's dance birthday party, and I hope he brings some other classic Elwoodians. people seem to be writing more positive things on livejournal these days. seemingly less drama and bitching. it's kind of nice. school is going well. eh, besides portuguese. I've been getting good scores in my other classes. including, but not limited to, a 95% on my BPC exam, 100% on my anthropology quiz, great scores on most homework and papers. not too bad. if I can just pull a D in portuguese, I will be the happiest boy in the world. we're on our last project in professional writing. an incredibly boring class. it is the intro to this field, and research. gross. out last project is fucking huge and I'm not really looking forward to it. lately, I've really been into Futurama, The Boondocks, and The Simpsons. all hilarious. also, Across the Universe was simply amazing. that's all for now, I'm going to sit around some more and enjoy my Friday until party time.
