School Daze

Hrum. I meant to post about Christmas, but things have been so hectic I just didn't have the time. It went like every other Christmas though: awesome. Kendall and I stayed an extra week with Tony and Gabby, and it was absolute bliss. We stayed in our pajamas practically every day and spent the whole day either on our laptops, playing Rock Band, or watching Tony play Saints Row 2.

Surprisingly, I wasn't that upset when school started this semester. I'm stressed for sure, the whole moving thing is at a stalemate and I don't know when the heck it's going to happen, but otherwise I'm not that affected by school. I'm only taking 13 hours this semester, one because of the moving, and two because I'm taking the hardest class available in my major. It's Law and the Media and it's taught by an actual lawyer. He seems like he means business, he was one of the few teachers who actually taught the first day of class. Everyone who's had him before has said that you need a really light class load to handle what he throws at you, so uh, this was the perfect opportunity.
Besides Law and the Media, I'm also taking Personality Psychology, Journalism II, Publications Practicum, and Aerobic Salsa Dancing. rofl, I know.

Lately I've been feeling kind of... eclipsed. Like, I constantly see people who are better than me at pixeling or drawing and it's been eating away at me. I don't know why. I never used to get this bothered by other people being better than me, but I really feel like I'm in a rut. Like I've reached my maximum potential as a pixel "artist" and I'm not going to improve. I really can't describe it any better than that. It's irritating, because I hate feeling second rate, but I'm doing it to myself, no one is going around saying 'Courtney your artwork sucks.'

On a brighter note, I started a new blog. It's a media blog type thing, check it out if you're bored. http://virtualbunny.blogspot.com

school, in a rut, christmas
