Failed startups hurt in a lot of ways.

Wow, so it's been an awful long time since I posted here. I suppose I'm going to have a bit more time to vent now that the startup I was working at has gone under. These aren't exactly great times to try to raise capital and get a business off the ground ( Read more... )

That website is a good idea; I had no idea what a "start up" was, but now I know. Like you said, now is definitely not the time to get funding from anywhere but the government, but at least, you have created what appears to be a workable product, so once everything turns around, you and your partner will be able to dust the site off and try to make some money off of it. I'd still be trying to promote the site in my free time, since I think it has potential.

In the mean time, put out lots of resumes, keep your head up and keep thinking of new things. You were always creative and I'm sure that things will work out for you, but you have to expect some down times along the way and you'll need to fight through.
