My first date where the guy will admit it was a date afterwards

Last night a guy called my apartment and asked for "Katie."
I said, "I'm sorry, I think you have the wrong number."
"oh... I mean, could I talk to Emily?"
I then said in a very cautious voice, "This is Emily..."
"Oh, my name is Dave, you don't know me..."
"oh, you're from Becca's ward!"
"Oh good, she warned you."

and then he asked if I could go on a group date this Friday, then what time, then he asked if I had any allergies. I said I didn't eat red meat. He explained he'd once made a girl a cake she was allergic to, so now he asks about those things. He repeated, "okay, no...red..meat" like he was writing it down, and I am officially going on a date with the Dave that Becca says is perfect for me, in exactly 2 days and five minutes. (Friday at 6). No, I'm not counting it down, I'm just being cute. We'll have to see how this goes.

The funny thing is, the other date I went on last year, with the guy who later denied that it was a date, was with a David who's an engineer major. And that David asked for "Emily or Liz," while this guy first asked for "Katie." Considering that David recently asked if he could spank me 20 times on my birthday, I hope the parallels end there.
