It Begins...
I took my first harp lesson on Friday from the most amazing man!
His name is Robert Goodwin and he is the most wonderful combination of O.C.D. musician and Yoda.
He is very technical and detail oriented, and he has been playing/teaching forever.
He also has a personality and easy nature that may cause me to grind my gears some days. He is very patient and laid back...you know the "There is no try, only do." Kinda kick your ass and calmly rearrange your thought process without breaking a sweat.
When your teacher has known you less than 30 minutes and already is saying things to you like "I expect you to take your time and be patient with yourself, you are learning." (Me??? What???) Or "I hope you don't mind, but I am going to repeat this so often, you will want to kill me." (Ahhh Virgo...want to do it correctly...what was that again?)
I think it is the start of a great student/teacher relationship.
So here is me with Vonvoncake's harp....oh yeah!!!!
