i spent my whole Good Friday at church. there was the Passover service in the morning and the youth rally for the rest of the day, organized by Xara. the Passover service was nice, actually a rendition of a traditional Jewish "sader" (sp?) led by this Jewish lady. i wish we had gotten to eat the food on the trays.
the youth rally was fun. the potluck lunch. the incredible amount of food people brought. the scavenger hunt. the free time, spent outside, running around or playing basketball, football or badminton. [Edit]i was Vinci. Vinci was Eleasa. Vinci was a weiner steak, i mean Eleasa, i mean not me. are you as confused as i am? it doesn't matter. Vinci's a weiner steak! [/Edit] the games. the Bible study, which i helped create, and which i co-led. (yay!) the dinner. the end.
Sunday. Sunday.
Sunday was a lovely day. Sunday was Easter Sunday. and Sam, Angela, Vinci, Gary, Senna and several adults were baptized!! it was exciting and encouraging to hear each of their testimonies. Praise the Lord!
i didn't get chocolate for Easter. not really. i got Jelly Bellies instead, from my Sunday School teachers. yummm, pear!
after church, a whole bunch of people went to the Mandarin near our church to celebrate. how many? enough to fill up a whole section of an area. =) it was great. mmmmmm... waffles.
afterwards, me and Nina followed Sam, Felix, Vince and Angela to Vinci's apartment 5 star hotel look-alike. there's a bowling alley, a library, a huge fitness room and even a fountain in the front lobby. and everything matches. it's amazing. it's classy. after awhile, i just stopped exclaiming over everything.
i envy her apartment balcony. i adore the view. it's on the 22nd floor and my fear of heights makes my heart pound and my head light and dizzy, but i love it.
oh, my parents were scheduled to yell at me that night too. why? well, i'm extremely irresponsible and on the highly unlikely occasion that i do go out, i never tell my parents where i'm going or who i'm getting a ride from or what time to pick me up or get dropped off and etc. and this happened Sunday. they were supposed to get mad and yell at me. and they didn't. yay.
oh, Rina was sick for the whole long weekend. she missed out on a lot.
pictures will follow.
i watched Spirited Away on Monday. it's reeally good. i discovered that ALL the Japanese animated movies that have been dubbed into English that i've seen are directed/written/drawn by Hayao Miyazaki.
Princess Mononoke, My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service & Castle in the Sky. i love his films!
and that, ladies and gentlemen, was my long weekend.
happy belated Easter. hope you got lots of chocolate.
