I feel like I need to update about my life.
The last few weeks have been real busy for me and I haven't had much time to hang out or anything. School could have gone a little better this semester, but I guess that's because I missed so many classes. I'm finally finished with Music Theory. For my final I had to compose a song for saxophone with a piano accompaniment. I think it turned out nicely. I've had two jazz gigs every week for the past month. I also had two recitals this semester, the first was a small jazz combo featuring me playing 'Round Midnight on Alto. The second was me on solo piano playing the opening to Glassworks by Philip Glass. Both went really well and I've been getting compliments from lots of people at school. I also did a few electronic transpositions in my MIDI class that my professor liked. So although I probably won't get the best grades, I think I got a lot out of this semester, and it almost seemed worth the time and money I put into it.
Next week seems promising. Monday will be my first day off in weeks. Tuesday is Radiohead. Thursday I will be hanging out with a new lady. Friday I'm going on a tour of the Yueng Ling factory.
Also, I've decided to go vegetarian for the month of May. I've made it 4 days with only the gas station lady tempting me with a free hot dog. I was able to resist. Wish me luck, though.
