1. My boss is still avoiding me. He comes into the office in the mornings but fucks off before I get in. People keep coming up to me and telling me I've done a good thing because he isn't hanging around...and that I should take one for the team more often ( Read more... )

I wish it was Liverpool in England. Actually, that's where my Dad was born. Maybe it IS the England one!

Sorry. Ignore me. I was just relating all this to my own stuff. I'd forgotten it was father's day...MIL rang to find out what we were doing, wanting us to come over...

I'd just been watching father';s day on neighbours, wondering why they were doing father's day now...

Has *your* mother contacted you about Father's Day?

I hate Father's Day advertising. There's nothing in it for ME! At least with Mother's Day, even though I'm not a mother, I can nab a bargain for myself.

I think your other comment is really interesting. I haven't thought of my Dad for quite a while...not like I have been lately. I wonder if the Liverpool thing really does have something to do with it. There's absolutely no reason I can think of that I'd want to go to the Liverpool I know.

More booze is always the answer. We both know this.
