The 12 Days of....
Well as my friend Chris, twisted sister that he is, so readily pointed out to me it has been 12 days since I was last here to update my lj!! (sings in a loud voice...FIVE GOLDEN RINGS!!) So here we go!
I am still wearing my cast from my ordeal of breaking my left foot. I thought I was only going to have to wear this thing for 3 weeks BUT since it is Workman's Comp and I cannot see the Doc at the three week mark (US Holiday) I have to wait it out another week. Such is life, I just hate the fact that since it is Workman's Comp they think they frinkin own your life. Finally after 3 days of light duty on the Critical Care Unit my Manager told them she couldn't use me there as there is no light duty on a Critical Care Unit. So they placed me up in Quality Assurance where I can sit at a desk with my foot propped up on another chair! So now, as my dear friend Chris (sweet thang that he is) pointed out to me now NOBODY will like me because no one like the people from QA!! (FOUR CALLING BIRDS)
I have really thinking about my friend, dalek1966 . He is to have his blessed event happen tomorrow. I wish I could be there to be with the others that are there to witness this special time for him. He has been waiting for this since he is 12 years old. I only wish for him my very best as he jumps out of the boat and into the water (go read his lj). I also wish for him God's continued blessings on his life as he seeks to serve Him in the best way that he knows how. (THREE FRENCH HENS)
Tomorrow I am going to meet up with my friend Nathan! He is leaving Pennsylvania on Sunday. He has a conference in San Fran next week and then he leaves for Minnesota to start seminary...taking some summer courses to get started. I am really looking forward to spending this time with him. Nathan is going to do so well in this new academia setting, I am so pleased that he has this oppurtunity to GO FOR IT!! He is a thriving Episcopalian and I love him for it! We are staying in Center City and then on Sunday I will take him to the airport! (TWO TURTLE DOVES)
So now about myself...I feel very blessed. I have friends that have become very real to me. You know, the ones that feel free enough to share things that are intimate to them. They open this door and let you come in and share that special spot where not everyone is allowed to go. They take you there because they have connected with me and in that connection there is a trust. A trust that does not betray. A trust that takes you in and and makes you part of them. A trust that demands in a very loving way that it dare not be betrayed. I love that kind of trust and sometimes because one or the other has opened up that trust it becomes a door for the both of you. And then the trust is mutual. WOW!! I am nearly __ years old and I am still being taken into new trusts. Part of this is because God has opened my world like I never knew possible...He has trusted me with this. I hope I continue to be trustworthy to Him because in all of this then I am blessed with the trust of others. Who Knew? Not me! I have experienced some of this before but not like I have recently. Thanks to all of you out there that have come to better understand who I am and have decided to allow me inside of your heart. (AND A PAAAARTRIDDDDDGE IN A PEAR TREE)
So good night, not sure when I will be back as I am on vacation for a bit. Just think of me as I have a apartment in Ocean City, NJ...and it is a third floor walkup. There I am hobbling along up the steps with my cast on....
