"Fandom Guessing Game" meme
((I ran across an interesting meme recently. Give it a shot and challenge your friends to see how well they know their fandoms--and your preferences.
1. Post a list of up to 20 books/movies/anime/TV shows/video games/etc. that you've had an obsessive fannish love of some time in your life are a fan of (OPTION: Favorite male AND female character for some of these)
2. Have your friends list guess your favourite character from each item.
3. Post in your own journal.
So here's my list:
1. Legend of Zelda games (Both sexes.)
2. Mario games (Both sexes.)
3. DC on TV (Both sexes, hero and villain, four in this one.)
4. Final Fantasy 6 (Both sexes.)
5. The works of Miyazaki (Both sexes.)
6. Marvel's merry mutants (Both sexes, hero and villain.)
7. Valdemar books (Both sexes.)
8. Anita Blake books (Just one, and it's a guy.)
9. Disney's Gargoyles (Both sexes.)
10. Harry Potter books/movies (Both sexes.)
11. Transformers: Beast Wars (Both sexes--don't look at me like that, they have sexes... sort of.)
12. Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" (Both sexes.)
13. Star Wars--all movies, games, books, etc. are fair game. (Both sexes.)
14. Neon Genesis Evangelion (Both sexes.)
15. Trigun (Both sexes.)
16. Escaflowne (Both sexes.)
17. Ruroni Kenshin (Both sexes.)
18. Lord of the Rings trilogy (Just males since, sadly, only three women even get worthwhile mention.)
I think that's enough, don't you?
Here's the kicker. I'm trying to get my writing mojo going again, so when all the characters are guessed (or I'm just tired of waiting), I'll post an entry crediting the winners and explaining why those characters hold a special place for me. It's not necessarily part of the meme, but I'm game if you are.))
