VERY EXCITING NEWS!
The past week was kind of a bore for me there were some all right things in it and then saturday just made the week worth it all....so tue was taks and me and naomi went to mccreless mall and it was dead..it made me so sad to see how dead it is and that it was soon going to be torn down....i really need to go take pictures of the halls and whatnot b/c i grew up in that mall and my how it has changed....the rest of the week went by all right..real slow and i was so bored with it all...friday nite i did nothing but just stayed at home and tried to figure out what i was going to wear the next day to competition went to sleep like around 3 in the morning which was a big problem since i had to be at school at 6:45 that morning..
so..i woke up extremely late! i got up at 6:15 and was like oh holy hell! and it was raining which was totally not cool well except the weather...i got dressed in like 15 mins and was out the door it was the fastest i had ever gotten dressed...and try to get to school as quickly as possible...i got there and they were still there..(thank god!)went to clark and it was still raining..oh yeah and mr. lewis splashed this lady who was walking on the side walk...so we get to clark around 730ish and then all of a sudden it got really packed! we checked in and what not and were the one if the first groups to go and get judged...my first judging was at 810 (which i didn't get to be judged until like 835) for my figure drawing picture and well it went really well the lady who judged me was extemely nice..then i went to my next judging which was suppose to be at 850 and it was kind of around 9ish..and i was going to sit down b/c there was a girl already there but the judge came out and was like "vanessa?" to the girl and i looked the judge and was like "that's me" and i went in before the girl who was there...i went in there was as much confidence i could come up with and went with it..i started explaining my self portait and i felt great! the lady really liked my piece and i was excited...
got out of the room feeling really good about myself and went back to the cafetieria and made a new friend from brack...her name is camille and she's a sophomore and we hung out the whole day together practically...went to a workshop in the morning and it was all right..then went to go check out the pieces that got a rating of a four (the highest rating you can get there)..at first i didnt' see mine and i got sad at first...but got to looking around and saw jessica w.'s both art pieces there and so was jason's and so i went on looking and finally saw my self portait there i was so pleased!...then i found daisy and we talked for a while and were going to cry b/c we usually do cry when we are together...
once she left i went to go eat and found camille at the table..i ate pretty quickly b/c there was a workshop that was dealing w/ collages and it was so much fun! me and her stayed there the whole 2 hours there it was great! i made 3 collages..and then we went back to the cafeteria and were there from 3 till the end b/c we were waiting to see who was going to make it to state..at first we thought we would find out who had made it around 5 but no it was delayed till around 6..615 and it was nerve racking waiting to see who was going to make it to state...so they start announcing who's going on to state....
they announce the divison 1 ppl who are making it to state and it seemed like it took forever!...then divison 2...which is the divison i am in!...they start naming the ppl and i start losing hope when they kept announcing all these ppl then all of a sudden..................i hear............................MY NAME!...THEY ANNOUNCED MY NAME AND I WAS LIKE "OH MY GOD!" I am going to STATE! oh hell yes! I AM SO EXCITED! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! I WAS THE FIRST ONE FROM BRACK TO BE ANNOUNCED AND CAMILLE WAS NEXT AND BOTH OF HER PIECES MADE IT TO STATE!......WE WAITED TO SEE WHO WAS GOING ON TO STATE FOR DIVISON 3 AND 4...NO ONE MADE IT IN DIVISON 3 BUT THEN CAME DIVISON 4 (THE ONE JASON AND JESSICA WERE IN) IT WAS JUST LIKE REPLAYING THE WAY I WAS B/C I WAS NERVOUS FOR JASON AND JESSICA....FINALLY JASON'S NAME WAS CALLED AND HE IS GOING ON TO STATE AS WELL...BUT THE DOWN SIDE WAS THAT JESSICA WAS MOVING ON TO STATE! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! I WAS LIKE "WHAT THE HELL!?!"
so yeah my saturday totally made up for my week...
I AM GOING TO STATE! AND I CAN'T BE HAPPIER! HOUSTON WATCH OUT HERE I COME!
i don't know when state is but i will keep everyone updated on how that goes!
today was all right..tried to clean my room and well i have to go finish doing that....tomorrow is orchestra's saisd competition at brack and i will be helping out again and i think i might wear my medal tomorrow or probably tuesday...
