Non-spoilery: not perfect by any means, but a breath of fresh air, probably the best episode overall since The Doctor's Wife. It's nice to feel optimistic about the show again. Though that may just be my lowered standards, ahem.
And on another note, the
Doctor Who Pointless Celebrity Special -- starring the teams of Syvelster McCoy and Sophie Aldred (Seven and Ace), Bernard Cribbins and Jacqueline King (Wilf and Sylvia Noble), Nicola Bryant and Andrew Hayden-Smith (Peri and Jake Simmonds), and Louise Jameson and Frazer Hines (Leela and Jamie -- or as they put it, the best legs on television). Plus Pointless co-host Alexander Armstrong was Mr. Smith in SJA and the husband in The Doctor, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, so nine of the ten people on stage were Who alums.
As a Pointless episode goes, it's not that gripping, but even not having seen any Seven serials Team Seven is just adorable. It's so sweet that they're still such good friends.
