I've been skeptical to derisive of the entire motion comic genre since comics publishers first tried to make it a Thing a few years ago. Today I've finally seen one that I not only enjoyed watching, but which I found more emotionally affecting than the original story: Arrival Point Productions'
adaptation of Bendis and Bagley's Death of Ultimate Spider-Man.
The real kicker is that Arrival Point Productions is a fan group, and yet their work blows every professional motion comic I've seen out of the water. Yeah, the voice acting is shaky in places, the scene changes are abrupt, and the animation isn't particularly sophisticated, but I stayed engrossed for the entire 20 minutes, when I've barely been able to sit through three or four-minute comics from Marvel proper.
Definitely worth a look, whether or not you've enjoyed motion comics in the past.
