(Kandy outside of the Seaside Ball)
Saturday night I took Kandy to the Seaside Ball at the Historic Bathhouse in San Pedro. The night was amazing. EVERYONE was dressed up in 1920s attire (except 2 people). Mora's band played nothing but 20s music so I had to brush up on my Charelston, Watlz, and Foxtrot since lindy hop wasnt around till the 40s. Maxwell Demille (
http://maxwelldemille.com) was ofcours hosting the event, I love that guy. Out side of the building was a row of classic cars and a huge search light lighting up the sky. The Hollywood Hornets also did a few dance routines. After this marvelous ball Kandy and I swing danced a bit in the sand by the ocean water. My suit is now covered in sand.
Sunday we went to "Ticket to the 20s" Another even 20s event with the same band but outside at a museum in the City of Industries. This one involved dancing, a 20s fashion show, some silent films, food, tours, and alot more.
We wrapped up the night at a very tacky but fun 50s in-door car hop diner. Few of the seats look like classic cars and the music was great. The waitresses were incredably friendly, sweet, cute, AND yes they are on rollerskates.
Since I got you here, here are some photos from Old Town Music Hall (otmh.org) were I sometimes go on saturdays to watch classic films from the 20s-50s and partake in fun sing-a-longs.
Well thats just another weekend (or part of it) in my life. I wouldnt trade my life for anything but I do keep making it better all the time.
