Cleaning a bathroom used almost exclusively by a six year-old and an eleven year-old is a frightening experience. I'm still trying to figure out how it's possible to pee on bother the underside of the lid and the seat and the underside of the seat. Their whole bathroom needed extra attention. As soon as wet rag his floor, it smelled like an ammonia bomb had gone off. Let's just say I'm not especially looking forward to sharing a bathroom with them when we move to the new house.
Oh. Right. Did I mention we're getting a house? Like, for real this time? It's a new house. Two stories and a basement. Shitload of open space, and room for a library and office space in the basement.
the_lucky_nun and I are both excited and scared stupid right now. We have to get a few pieces of documentation before the loan is fully done, and I think we'll close April 3. Any extra money I had is now GONE, and I have to let Craig know I will not be seeing Smackdown! next month.
*sigh* Thank god for the library and its many movies and books. Even more thankful is that it'll be within walking / biking distance of the new house. The new house with the large amount of things that will need to be bought: lawn mower, rake, shovel, snow shovel, hoe, spades, something to put all that shit inside... oh, dearie me.
I think now that the cleaning's done and the Friday post is up over at
nuthouseblog, I can go do something other than running errands. Something like wandering around Home Depot and salivating. There's got to be something to take my mind off all this shit that's swirling around.
