Makes you wish you were there, doesn't it? I had a great time last night, and learned some lessons:
1) The Wipers are awesome, and I need to get their first album soon.
2) Hairy Belafonte will soon be unable to play anywhere but the Haunted Kitchen if they keep trashing the Jackpot (see: confetti, broken ceilings, etc.).
3) Straight-edge hardcore kids are just as annoying now as when I was 18.
4) Descendents covers are always amazing, and Milo Goes to College start-to-finish is way better than it has any right to be.
5) Black Sabbath covered with TWO guitarists is amazingly metal.
6) Stage-diving when you're nearly 29 is sad. Fun, but still sad.
My throat hurts from sing-alongs. My ass and neck hurt from discovering what happens when you run out of the "crowd" portion of "crowd-surfing." I got (maybe) six hours of sleep last night. I have a book to finish, a movie to watch, and papers to get started on. Still - great night. This "I will go to shows on Saturdays" resolution is off to a grand start.
