Being up at an unholy hour has its advantages. Glazed donuts so hot and fresh that end up as a sugary, fatty mass at the bottom of the paper bag, turning that fucker translucent. You then take your cheap-ass Folger's in the styrofoam cup, load it with sugar and creamer and use it to wash down said messy tasty mass. It does nothing - at first.
Next thing you know, it's half an hour later and I'm dancing by myself in the middle of the station. And, just as the sugar rush was starting to wear off, and the coffee was running out, I get a phone call from Ian, asking if I need anything. Well, a 20 oz. Diet Mountain Dew couldn't hurt, right?
Not right now, of course. Then again, I might want to remember that I've got an hour and a half long meeting with ToJo and the architects for the new studios over at the Union at 9am. Sitting still, paying attention, and being jacked to the gills on caffeine do not go together very well. Nor does having to leave every twenty minutes to pee.
Still, the sunrise over the hill, as viewed through the studio windows, is quite a sight to behold. Very picturesque. I'd take a picture sometime and post it for you all, were it not for the fact that the University is so protective of the campus skyline and wickedly litigious towards those who attempt to depict it.
