Two nights of fun
Well, considering how long and amazingly exhausting work was today, I feel pretty good. Deron showed up unexpectedly, which meant another pair of hands, which is why I got out of there around 1 this afternoon, instead of a possible 3. We made some nice looking bread, which is good, being as how the honey whole wheat was getting a loaf sent into the franchise headquarters for quality control.
Tonight is the Asian Man Records tour at the Record Bar. I wouldn't be going, but I got listed as one of the last things I asked for as music director. Sure, I'll have to pay for gas and Cokes, but it beats the $10 cover. It won't make for a fun morning tomorrow, however. I've got to be at the station at 8am for DJ training, with running live sound for a band at the studio immediately thereafter, a break for lunch, and a 3pm meeting.
For a day off, that certainly sounds like work. Still, I'll be getting some much-needed stuff accomplished, and the rest of my summer will have structure to it, as opposed to this random "WTF?" way of doing things right now. Tomorrow night is the Goddamn Gallows at the Bottleneck, followed by MORE DJ training Thursday afternoon. This weekend will be a much-needed rest.
