Long story short, on Wednesday, Tony came home from school and told us a story about some kid thrtowing a cup of piss on him. We didn't believe him, mainly because he didn't mention it until he'd been home for ten minutes and was getting chewed out about taking showers that were too long.
Turns out he (in the words of the vice principal) "urinated in a water bottle and squirted it on another student." It is only because the kid wants to kick Tony's ass that the victim didn't press charges. So, any time Tony complains about being grounded or having to do chores, we're reminding him that he could be in jail, as it was battery. However, he didn't throw a fit, thanks to having to talk with school officials and a member of law enforcement before he made it to us.
So, I went to KC last night. His up Prospero's and Half Price Books. Found a couple LPs - Sixer and Dead & Gone. Wandered around and checked out some art stuff down in the Crossroads area, and then hit the Brick.
Kosher was great, but man... I didn't know a soul there, Super Black Market really isn't my cup of tea, and the show opened with some guy on a guitar doing "folk punk." He sucked, and it was only a cover of "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory" that made me not want to chuck my Diet Coke at him. Super Black Market isn't exactly the styl eof punk I go for, so they kind of just had me at "eh."
Kosher played every song I wanted to hear, rocked insanely hard, and made me realize exactly how much I miss the days of going to see shows at El Torreon.
