Culinary ninjitsu

Sometimes, I scare me. The stuff I can do with leftovers is better than 50% of the food I get when I need to grab something on the run. What I hate about living in the MidWest is that we don't have that street food mentality that exists everywhere fucking else in the world. I've read stories by and talked to folks who've lived in Asia, and the concept of cooking at home became foreign (pun intended) to them after a while, because it's so cheap to grab a bowl of soba noodles, or pho, or dim sum, or whatever.

You can walk into a market in any town in any part of the world and find fresh, amazing food cooked right in front of you for next to nothing. And it's GOOD. Shit, when I was in Austin, the places I grabbed food from were under five bucks, filling, and delicious. Fuck you, Pita Pit - I want a Go Bites. Screw you, Pyramid - I want a Torchy's. Sun Dog can stay, tho'. Best Worst was tasty, but limited in the selection.
