Things not working as they should

* The yeast used at work yesterday was instant dry yeast, as opposed to compressed yeast. The difference being bloom time versus instant usage. The bread, as might be suspected, was sub-par, refused to rise, and was just difficult to deal with. The rye, however, was the best it's ever been. Go figure.

* CD player number one at the station was fucking up left and right during my show. It required a full power-down and even after that, needed some finagling to get the CDs to get taken. Stupid auto feed - give me a tray-loading player any day.

* Tony threw a shit fit this morning because of some semantics bullshit, that ended up in a full-on screaming match and him getting grounded.

* I bought an IDE enclosure to try and get info off of four hard drives we've got laying around the house. There's some MP3s, stories, bookmarks, pictures, etc. that the_lucky_nun and I would kill to be able to access once again. Of course, Windows refuses to recognize it as a simple USB mass storage device (that being what it is). So, now I have to wait until Monday to find out from the company as to why they don't have a simple driver set-up (and, more specifically, as to why the driver disc they ship in a box labeled as "OS Support Win98SE/ME/200/XP" only has a Windows 98 driver).

However, on the bright side...
* There is the HorrorPops / Pink Spiders / Cute Lepers show at the Bottleneck tonight. I am guest listed for it, the Cute Lepers features members of the Briefs, and there should be a load of vinyl for purchase, because all of these bands issue lots of it.
* We got the truck from my folks today, and that managed to go off without a hitch. I need to call my brother and see who he has waiting to buy the Dodge, but it shouldn't be too terribly difficult to unload. Any money will be handy, even though my dad is only asking two grand for the red truck.
* This means I will once again be driving a red Chevy S-10. That is enough to cool me off a bit, as is the fact that I'd forgotten that I had a gift card for Hastings, which I used to buy the WWE Ladder Match DVD. corkwis, I'll bring it over on Monday, so massholecatlady can finally see that Hardy Boys / Edge & Christian No Mercy match.
