Back in the thick of things

For the first time in a week or so, I actually feel awake. Sleeping away most of the afternoon will do that for you. Granted, it was due to the fact that I got less than three hours' sleep last night before heading into work... and I missed the basketball game... but, still, I feel great.

Dom's got a friend over, and I bought some comics today, so I had to pass on wrestling at the Armory tonight. We're not quite solvent enough to justify the expense, even with the added attraction of a no rope barbed wire match. Besides, I'm seeing Liars and No Age for free tonight, so that's plenty of entertainment.

Last night's entertainment was doing my show at the end of an incredibly awful week, as well as taking to to and picking him up from the school dance. Advice given to Tony: "Don't draw attention to yourself." Something learned personally - it doesn't matter if a girl is 23 and drunk, or 13 and sober. If you put her and ten of her friends on a party bus, they will dress provocatively and yell "woo!" a lot. I guess some girl's parents rented her and her friends one of the various party buses because the dance fell the same night as her birthday party.

There are records everywhere in the basement... I'm thinking I may want to invest some of my KJHK stipend in a big order from Bags Unlimited so I can get these damned things off the floor, out of bins, and onto the shelf.

work, need for sleep, live music
