It is spring.
In environmental club we are currently starting our garden and hopefully finding another day to meet instead of on Tuesdays. Yesterday we decided on growing eggplants, lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli (maybe), cilantro, basil, beets, peppers, carrots, and maybe even more. We loaded a whole lot of bricks out of my car and opted to make a small path, but then decided not to because Dr. Crawford still has to till the soil.
Our plot gets perfect sunlight. It is right by Cardinal Boulevard and across from the senior parking lot, but who cares, they will all see our garden and love it. Our compost bin has been screwed together so now it won't fall over, whooray!
I am moving into Fort Not Portland sometime during the first week of April. I couldn't be more excited, although all of the kinks haven't been worked out just yet. I need to go looking for a new mattress and some blankets/sheets, as well as a few other items that I don't want to take from my room.
This is an amazing spring. Everyday I've been so busy but it's worth it.
