Of course! And alksdjfkadsf school doesn't exist what are you even talking about 8'( /stares at homework...

But yeah, how much do you think these two would have interacted by the time that the session starts? I'm thinking enough so that John isn't just insta-blocking him every time they talk, and they had to have interacted enough for them to throw around the idea of having competing teams. Any ideas for how Karkat would feel about him?

Karkat's at a mutual level of hate for everyone ever, but I could see him and John having a little bonding time arguing about movies, at the very least. HE CAN STREAM YOUR SHITTY HUMAN MOVIES IN TROLL RUSSIA, YOU KNOW. so, at least, karkat would see john as a rival in that regard.

Yeah, maybe they aren't friends/buddies as of yet? Mostly because I think it'd be more fun if they built up their friendship over the course of the game! But I agree, they could argue about silly stuff like movies or whatever. And also, John's ignorance about troll culture, and tricking Karkat about what human culture is like, could lead to shenanigans and misunderstandings? IDK, I'm thinking John still has the "BLUH BLUH ANNOYING TROLLS" mindset toward Karkat too but he still has conversations with Karkat partly because it's funny and partly because MOVIE DEBATES FUCK YES.

Sounds good to me!! "JOHN YOU ARE STILL A USELESS SON OF A FUCK AND I HATE YOU, now let's talk about When In Rome and how much it fucking sucks" is pretty much what's going on at the start of the game.

I like the idea of building their broship up in the game, like in canon. GO TEAM.
