Man. Yesterday was one of the greatest days of my entire life. No shit!
School got out at 2:20. I had been squirming all day just waiting for that final bell to ring and when it finally did, I dashed out and got home, ready for Chris to come pick us up. So Chris, PJ, Finley and I all got going at around 3:30. Destination: House of Blues, Anaheim, CA. A car with these guys, as always, is an average 1 million jokes cracked for the entire trip. Very good times.
We finally arrived, and Chris, being the sports freak that he is, decided we would eat at the ESPN Zone restaurant, which turned out to be a mistake. A very expensive mistake. Three appetizers for like 30 bucks. Anyway...
We got in line at about 6:30. First ones there, bitches! The doors didn't open 'til 8, and the show didn't start 'til 9, so there was quite a lot of waiting to be done. While waiting in line, we met our new hero. I'll put in a link here explaining all of that when I find out how... While we were technically first in line, Queensryche's fan club got to get in first. Yeah, so Finley and I were the first ones in the venue who WAITED in line, and we got our picture taken.

Now for the actual concert. Queensryche came out, and started playing a fuckin' AWESOME song, that I have no idea what it was. I plan on finding out some day, haha. After that, they followed with "Empire", and "Another Rainy Night." I didn't know the names of some songs, but others I remember are "Silent Lucidity", "Last Time in Paris," and of course, "Jet City Woman." Yeah, I only own Empire, as well as Operation: Mindcrime. Which brings me to that part. They played Operation: Mindcrime in its entirety, complete with actors, props, and a screen behind them which displayed various effects and clips. It was SO. GOOD. Fuckin' flawless performance. Geoff Tate is one the most talented singers ever. Hit every note perfectly. And sang the last song "Eyes of a Stranger" holding the microphone in a fucking STRAIT JACKET. Great guitars, solid drumming, and the bassist just looked like the coolest fuckin' guy in the world. He was just fuckin' COOL.
Absolutely incredible night. And the longest ass post of my entire LiveJournal career. Hoo.
