funny, cauz when i say "school yard" i mean "beach resort"... as the weather gets hotter, the girls get naked-er. yes...naked-er. their hair gets blonder, mine gets darker. they're already tanning in front of their dorm rooms, and i'm trying to wear a sweatshirt any chance i get! but it's not happening. 80 degrees in JANURAY. where do i live?! and why is LMU the only place that requires a headshot with your college application? ewe.
so i'm directing Fuddy Meers, which is going quite well, and i'm still presentable during the day... just waiting for the time where i become a walking zombie with PJs on and baggy eyes, scaring young children and falling asleep in every class. not yet...but it's only week 2. we open feb 16th and run till the 19th and again the 23rd-26th...i expect everyone to be there. all you live journal readers. of course i'm already having dreams about the play, and last night in my dream, my cast was about 40 people large (it's really 7), and i walked out in the middle of notes crying. great. woke up in a cold sweat...thanks GOD i only have 7 amazingly talented actors...not 40.
one of my best friends mattie sent me a christmas present, and i got it yesterday. it is a photo print turned into a poster of Regents Park in london, and of course, here we go again. i miss london. i wish i was there. all my problems would be solved. someone get me back there. my friend andrew is visiting london right now, and he has my Let's Go London book, london london london. (there, now that's out of the way)...
i saw "sideways" the other day, and did like it. it was refreshing, real, witty, and done very well, but "eternal sunshine" should have won best screen play at the golden globes, now i'm scared it will TOTALLY be snubbed at the academy awards...although i tend to agree with the golden globes more than academy awards... and maybe it'll win best editing...which it should...among other awards. they were both good screen plays...eternal sunshine and sideways...but compare them...and clearly eternal sunshine should have won. sideways was like "i get it. the wine analogy. i get it. he's supposed to be like his favorite wine"...and natalie portman over kate blanchet? NO. she wins for closer because she has to have a crazy hair cut and strip? how bout her in garden state...more award winning than in closer. and anyone taking on katherine hepburn and doing such a good job as kate blanchet did...deserves to win. and she probably will at the academy awards...but come on. (there's my rant)
i love my astronomy class!!!
i'm bringing back the 24 hour play...it's this friday-saturday.
the ocean is sparkely today.
i want to sleep.
i have to go to st. robs now.... the end.
