weekend was fun
I love M/C war, I always have. This one marked my 15th anniversary in the SCA. Wow. Time flies when you're having a blast eh?
The weather was really nice. Not too hot during the day and not too cold at night. Perfect for hanging out.
The feast was awesome. Brion and Ysabella and Cyneswith and Constantina rocked it out!
After they kicked us out of the hall we went down to Spartan camp where they had the propane torches going and we hung out and sang lots of songs and talked and partied. Twas quite nice.
A cold breeze came up about 1 am that I did not enjoy so we went back to our camp where our pavilion acted as a windblock and lit a little fire and had a nice little talking session with Cyneswith, Eyvindr, Alden, Constantina, Artus, Mathias, and Thorfin. Went to bed around 3am. Slept like something that sleeps a lot and doesn't move :)
Sunday was nice - got up and relaxed a while before breaking down camp. Got off site around noon - which is early for us. Slept on the way home (of course) and unloaded, showered (so nice) and then off to moms day dinner. Which was weird. For the first time maybe in my life, I didn't want anything on the menu. Nothing looked good. And I've eaten at the Tied House tons of times. They have really good food. But I just wasn't feeling it. Weird.
Anyhoo, home and then to bed not long after cause we were tired.
Monday started my week of VACATION!! Took the whole week off for my birthday cause originally I wanted to go to Dland, but nobody could get the time off mid-week, so that is moved to June. But kept the week off cause I could use the break. Nice lazy days at home hanging with dogs are perfect.
Tomorrow is my birthday - still not sure what I'm gonna do.. stupid marine world is closed
